Wedu nurtures and invests in the purposeful leadership journeys of women in Asia and mobilize catalytic allies and communities around them. To date, Wedu has supported over 5,000 women to achieve their changemaking goals by facilitating one-on-one mentorship, delivering customized leadership training, cultivating vibrant support networks, and financing education with Income Sharing Agreements (ISAs).

Sustainable and exponential impact

Wedu has run a revolving ISA fund since 2014 and to-date, put over 250,000 US$ into the hands of 90 young women across South and SoutheastAsia, enabling them to achieve their education goals on their own terms. In2022, Wedu began scaling up this initiative into a pooled ‘Pioneer Fund’ with evergreen ambitions, securing anchor funders to catalyze growth and strengthening systems to support operation at-scale.

Sunline Foundation has committed to a one-year grant to cover the direct costs of deploying this extended credit line by funding outreach; application processing,

selection, and due diligence; and set-up costs for each contract such as funding disbursements and member onboarding. This will enable Wedu to deploy approximately USD 150,000 in funds for ISAs, which would allow ~40 women to achieve their education goals on their own terms

Supporting the deployment of their credit line could create 3x impact for the Sunline Foundation in the first year alone, with cascading impact for years to come given the revolving nature of the fund.
